The CRT remains, by far, the most common display technology for use in the home. In global terms the CRT market is huge as are the demands for the raw materials required in the manufacturing process.
The manual dismantling of the CRT containing product correctly prepares the CRT for processing and facilitates the recovery of the other TV and monitor components. With the exception of a very small amount of waste, all of the materials within a CRT containing product have a value.
No paying outlets exist for mixed recycled panel and funnel glass.
